We Found the Best Aftermarket Tacoma Fog Lights

Let’s face it, the OEM fog lights on the Tacoma are underpowered, that’s why most Tacoma owners get aftermarket fog lights with better performance.  We’ve searched high and low to find the best Tacoma fog lights, and we found the Baja Designs Squadrons.  The Squadron has a high-quality fit and finish that looks OEM, and also performs incredibly.  They also make it easy to install and integrates perfectly into the OEM fog light spot, but there’s two different squadron models, which one should you choose?

Squadron Sport WC

The first one we’re going to talk about is the Squadron Sport WC model, WC stands for wide cornering.  This model is all about performance, and it outputs 175% more than the OEM fog lights!  The Squadron Sport WC is designed specifically to light up dark trails at night, illuminating your field of view and allowing you to traverse the terrain safely and efficiently.  Available in a white LED or an amber LED.  One thing to take into account is that this model is not street legal, so you cannot use it on public roads, this may be a deal breaker for some.

Squadron SAE

If you want a street legal aftermarket fog light, the Squadron SAE is the way to go.  You can use this on public roads day and night, and it’s still 150% more powerful than the OEM Tacoma fog lights!  This light emits an incredible amount of light, giving it the ability to light up dark roads and dark trails at night, enhancing your vision and illuminating obstacles on the trail both near and far.

Colors

There’s either the white LED or amber LED option, and you can’t go wrong with either.  They’re both efficient and put out a strong amount of light to illuminate the trail, especially in rain, snow, and fog.  This one really comes down to personal preference.  Our team at Tacoma Lifestyle run the amber ones and love the look when the light is on and off, but both colors are great options.

Which one should you get?      

This is an easy answer that can be answered with one question, do you want the ability to use them on roads?  If your answer is no, get the Squadron Sport WC. If you answer is yes, then get the Squadron SAE.  Our team at Tacoma Lifestyle personally uses the Squadron SAE in the amber color, we like the ability to use them on the street in heavy fog and snow conditions.
