Maintain a low profile and mount a 9-10k lb winch to your Tacoma frame for use during your next weekend offroad adventure. This mount houses the winch in the most ideal location which optimizes space and placement.

We designed this kit so that you will NOT need to trim your plastic bumper cover. All you need to do is cut out a small hole for the fairlead entry/exit.

This Adds a Clean, OEM+ Look!

I haven’t seen any reviews for this product so I thought I’d share my opinion and experience with it. This is a great option for mounting a winch on a budget or if you don’t want a big, heavy bumper just to have a winch. I wanted the “OEM+” look with a winch and this mount is perfect for that! Much less weight overall for the benefit of having a winch. However, there were some minor setbacks during install: -During installation, the power steering cooling tubes won’t allow a proper install (refer to my last photo). The tubes need to be pushed back from their factory location. -My order from TL did not come with instructions for installation and they aren’t offered on TL’s website. So I had to contact Torq Engineering via email for those. Once I received a PDF version of the instructions, they showed me how to push the cooling tubes back using two small brackets that were included with the kit (see my 4th photo). **I emailed the instructions to TL so they could post them on this product listing but they haven’t done so yet** -Once the cooling tubes are relocated further back, install is easy! ***It is recommended to use bumper reinforcements with this winch mount if you plan on doing some heavy winching!*** This winch mount is installed with only the (6) factory nuts and bolts so if you’re winching you’re putting a lot of force on the nuts and the threads of those bolts…not ideal! Google search and find a set of bumper reinforcements. -Lastly, take your time when cutting the plastic bumper valance! “Measure twice, cut once” If you’re still reading this, just go ahead and buy this winch mount. I’m stoked with how mine turned out! Hopefully this review helps you and makes your install quicker than mine.
