It’s not great. I don’t know what I was expecting. The key was a lot more difficult to cut than other people that posted had experience with. Lowes said they couldn’t, that’s closer to me than HD which everyone said would work, but Home Depot refused as well. Went to a local locksmith, but had to put the pin back in the spring and take the fob apart again for them to be able to cut the key. After that was all said and done, even after watching videos of filing the bumps down little by little of each lock, unlock, and panic button as needed, I never got to the sweet spot of actually pushing a button. It was very tough, right up against the OEM buttons and had to press numerous times to work. Also the motion of turning the key to start the engine or unlock the tailgate was already starting to give the fob some issues, even with all three screws tightened securely. After all the issues, the buttons stopped working entirely after a week and replaced everything into my stock toyota key. All in all, very expensive for what it is, and also very frustrating for something you use multiple times a day for the simple fact of it “looking pretty cool”. I am also not an idiot, and have a lot of experience with small electronics such as this, so please don’t take this review as a user error issue. I would also like to mention, if I hadn’t given up with this as soon as I had, just the act of turning the key in the ignition by my math this fob would have been broken anyway in about 2 months. All in all, I wouldn’t purchase this.
