Very easy to apply. I used tweezers to remove the backing from the double stick tape on the underside. The front lip of it does poke past the gearshift just a touch, but it is not bad. With over 130,000 miles on my truck, my OEM gearshift knob was starting to look worn. This little bit of dressing it up really helped.
